Interview Skills Programs for Schools
These programs are fun, relevant and interactive. Since 2001 James has presented to over 75,000 students regularly presenting to 100 schools each year. Based on proven behavioral based interview techniques, they teach students how to identify transferable skills and place value on them in their resume and at interviews. James is also the author of “U CAN 2 Guide to Successful Interview Skills for Students,” a must read book, for every young person heading off for an interview and a wonderful textbook for schools.
Students will learn how to handle behavioural interview questions and have the right interview answers ready. Develop a targeted resume – curriculum vitae and the cover letter. Understand email resume guide lines, traps of the internet and new opportunities such as Visumes.
Starting at Year 10 and running through to Year 12, these modular and tailored programs are perceived by students as relevant and of immediate use. Students seeking work experience, part-time work or undergoing tertiary course interviews, will all benefit from these workshops. They're also an ideal adjunct to VCAL and VET programs.
Our programs are designed specifically to meet school's needs, running from 1 to 3 hours in a lecture style, interactive role-play workshop, or a combination of both. They cover the importance of part-time work, identifying skills, creating targeted a resume, through to specialist workshops for students preparing for university interviews, or entering the workforce.
